The Centre Quaker de Congenies, in the south of France, is seeking long term volunteer Resident Friends. Accommodation at the centre is offered in exchange for managing the house, organizing events and hosting guests.

Representatives from Quäker-Hilfe (Germany), Quaker Hulpfonds (Netherlands), Quaker Service Sweden and Quaker Service Norway met over the weekend 8-9 April to deepen our knowledge of each other’s work and to explore possibilities for collaboration.

Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) invites every Quaker meeting and church around the world to celebrate World Quaker Day (WQD) on October 1, 2017. The theme, Gathering in Worship Around the Globe, focuses on uniting Friends in different parts of the world and from different traditions in one big virtual worshiping community. Whatever you do as a worshiping community, we hope you will share this with others through FWCC. You can find lots of ideas and information at the World Quaker Day website.

Quaker Peace and Social Witness (QPSW) and Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA) are holding a joint conference in Brussels in December. Sanctuary is a place of refuge and safety. This conference will look at how we transform Europe into a continent of sanctuary, both for all the people who currently live here, and for other people seeking protection.
