All Friends of all ages are invited to join an All Age Gathering of Quakers in Europe and the Middle East in August 2026. This is a rare opportunity to connect with Friends from around the whole Section – and beyond – building community through worship, discussion and play. Non-Quaker family members are very welcome at the gathering.
The gathering’s theme is The River of Life: an all age gathering
Each morning will begin with a hybrid meeting for worship to allow Friends who are not on-site to feel connected to the gathering. This will be followed by an opportunity to explore a different stage of life from birth, youth, middle age, old age through to preparing for death. In the afternoons there will be space for activities arising from within the community.
The hybrid daily Meeting for Worship will be for 20 minutes and will begin at 9.30 CEST. You can register to join the hybrid daily Meeting for Worship here

The gathering will be held at at Haus Altenberg, where there are a variety of bedroom sizes suitable for families, groups and individuals. Haus Altenberg is located in a beautiful valley with woodland walks and bikes to hire close by. It is one hour from Cologne by public transport.
